Within the light I've come to learn,
Whom I can't trust, I just won't keep,
And therein will no passion burn,
Regardless of the 'love' they heap,
And pile, and toss (and dig and turn
The trash, and filth, and rot they reap).
The self-limited life they earn
Is never good. So I'll let them weep.
As I've found my final power,
Hidden, down, within, and deep,
I see now why, so sanct' each hour
'Cause I can't beg. And I won't sleep
Until I sweeten up the sour
Thoughts of her...and that son-of-a-(beep)!
(I wonder why he'd want to cower
And just not face me. Is he a creep?)
Now, for she who did me wrong
(Why did I ever think to leap?)
Her warmth was halt. Her cold was long,
Her silly sadness, slow did seep
Into her head. But she's young
And he won't find her terms too steep.
So, here, I'll give you one last song:
Happy is easy and laughter's cheap.
